7 Deadly Sins vs. 7 Cardinal Virtues: Temperance

Dr. Maria Kenney leads us through our 13th session on the 7 Deadly Sins and 7 Cardinal Virtues discussing the virtue of Temperance.

SUMMARY: In contrasting each of the seven deadly sins with their opposite virtues, we can gain insight and mature in holiness (see Colossians 3:5–17). Cultivating the cardinal virtues is not the solution for sin—only the atoning work of Christ does that—but it can lead to a healthy, holy life. In these 16 sessions, we’ll study each deadly sin in contrast to its opposite virtue so that we can grow in grace and be better equipped to present ourselves holy and pleasing to God, which is our spiritual act of worship (Romans 12:1).
